Newark, Delaware – Independence Prosthetics - Orthotics, Inc. has received a Three-Year Accreditation award in prosthetics, orthotics, and pedorthics by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics, Inc. (ABC).
Independence Prosthetics - Orthotics, Inc. is a Delaware owned and operated company in Newark, Delaware, just off Kirkwood Highway. Independence P-O is a full service provider of prosthetic and orthotic devices and accepts Medicare, Medicaid and most other insurances.
Independence Prosthetics - Orthotics, Inc. was founded by John Horne, a Delaware native. John’s interest in prosthetics and orthotics began at the age of fifteen, when he was diagnosed with bone cancer and was amputated below his right knee. He attended St. Mark’s High School and graduated from Wilmington College before completing his education at Northwestern University’s Prosthetic-Orthotic Center.
John is a certified prosthetist, orthotist and pedorthotist with more than twelve years of experience. He is an active member of the Delaware medical community and a regular speaker at the University of Pennsylvania’s Annual Prosthetic Program.
Independence Prosthetics - Orthotics, Inc. is recognized for achievements in the areas of Organizational Management, Patient Care Standards, Quality Assurance, Supplier Compliance and Facility and Safety Management. This award represents the highest level of accreditation achievable in the profession of orthotics and prosthetics.
